Welcome to the blog for the 2018 Mexico Mission Team!  We are a group of 10 from Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Brighton, MI committed to serving the people of Juarez, Mexico.  We are lead by Sandy Hardies, a team leader trained and supported by MOST Ministries.

We are being sent on a mission to work together with the Ysleta Lutheran Mission out of El Paso, Texas to serve God's people in Mexico. Ysleta Lutheran Mission (YLM) is a faith-based, 501c(3), non-profit organization that provides relief and human care services while planting and nurturning missions on the U.S./Mexico border in the El Paso/Jaurez region). Founded in 1982, YLM delivers aid and ministry services that benefit the lives of thousands of people every year.

We will leave on April 14th and return on the 21st.

Our mission is to teach 50 families appropriate health and hygene techniques, how to opperate and use a water filter and Jesus Christ through various activites.

Please pray for our team as we prepare for this mission and for the hearts of those families we will be in contact with in the Juarez area.  Pray that their hearts will be open to the Holy Spirit!
